Booking a Wedding at LEVEL Venue? Ask These Questions First

Couples and families choose venues for the photos, the food and the feeling. Very few ask who lives behind the building. At LEVEL Venue, 9320 W Pico Blvd, that question matters more than most, for your event and for ours.

Here are the questions we would ask if we were booking.

1. Where will my DJ or band be set up?

LEVEL has indoor ballrooms and an open-air patio it calls the Garden. The patio backs onto a residential alley lined with apartment buildings. If your music is booked outside, it will be heard inside dozens of homes.

2. What exactly are your “sound regulations”?

LEVEL's own FAQ says “all musical performances must comply with our sound regulations to meet local ordinance requirements.” Ask to see them in writing: the volume limits, the cutoff times, and who enforces them during your event.

3. Have the police been called during events?

Residents have called LAPD to the venue repeatedly. Nobody wants officers walking into a first dance or a hora. Ask what LEVEL does when that happens, and whether your contract says anything about it.

4. What happens if the music has to stop?

If a complaint forces the volume down mid-event, what is your recourse? Get it in writing. The neighbors are not going to stop calling while the patio is used this way.

5. Can the whole party happen indoors?

This is the easy one. LEVEL has roughly 9,700 square feet of indoor ballroom. Book the music inside, keep the patio for cocktails, and everyone wins: you get your party, and the families across the alley get to sleep.
